The Backyard Homestead Book of Building Projects: Spike Carlsen
There are 76 great plans in this book, ranging from Flower Pot Smokers to Gardening Sheds. The chapters include gardening and food preparation; storage and workspaces; animal shelters and feeders; and the house and yard. Chapter 1 teaches the tools you need, the proper way to dig holes, drive screws, and the safe way to handle a circular saw. The garden section includes plans from a cold frame and raised bed gardens, to an easy pergola and garden marker/stepping stones. The plans are well-diagramed, and easy to read and follow. Even a beginner can easily follow the simpler plans. I consider it a must-have in any personal homesteading library.
