Life can get tough on the farm. We work hard. We play hard. And at the end of the day, nothing feels better than soaking sore muscles in a hot bath. To aid relaxation, I love using bath salts, especially if it includes lavender and mint. Ever have one of those days when you just want to soak all your troubles away? Try making your own. And don’t forget to make enough to tuck a jar in a gift basket. Your friends and family will love it as well!

Lavender Mint Bath Salts

2 cups Epsom Salts
1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
1 Tablespoon Dry Milk Powder
60 drops Lavender Essential Oil
8 drops Mint Essential Oil

Optional: Several Drops of Purple Food Coloring (if you want to tint your bath salts)

Mix all ingredients into a bowl until well blended. Put in a decorative jar, like this precious blue owl! If this is going to be used as a gift, tie a colorful ribbon around the top. Add 1/2 cup to your bath water. Relax!
