Meatballs are easy to make, delicious to eat. Better yet, they are versatile. Make one batch, but create several fun and delicious meals!
The Recipe for Meatballs
1 lb. ground Beef
1-1/2 to 2 lbs. ground Italian Sausage
2 t. Basil
1-1/2 t. Garlic Powder
2 t. Oregano
1 t. Thyme
2 T. Parsley
½ t. Pepper
1 t. Salt
2 eggs
½ to ¾ cup Italian Bread Crumbs
Mix all ingredients until well blended, without over kneading. Mold into 1-1/2 to 2-inch balls. Place on a foil-covered cookie sheet or shallow baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, until done.
You can either immediately add meatballs to your spaghetti sauce or cool completely and store in a zip top storage bag and place in the freezer. Keeps well up to three months.

What Else Can You Do?
For other meals to create with meatballs, consider making meatball subs. Start with a Hoagie roll. Place three to four meatballs in a line on the roll. Top with Italian-seasoned tomato sauce and two slices of Mozzarella cheese. Place subs on a baking sheet. Lightly toast under a broiler, just until cheese is melted.
Place meatballs in a Crock Pot. Cover with Barbeque Sauce. Cook on low until heated through, approximately one hour.
Enjoy as an appetizer or snack, served with a bowl of hot Italian-seasoned tomato sauce for dipping.
