Farm Fresh Tuesday Blog Hop 90 – with a Little Lagniappe!

‘Lagniappe’ is a great little word often used here in the South. It means ‘a little extra’, and this week the Farm Fresh Tuesday Blog Hop 90 has it!

Valentines Day is right around the corner. This special day has come to reflect a ‘heart condition’ called LOVE. But there is a heart we rarely think about on this special day, and that is The Heart of the Home!

So, as a reflection of the very place where love begins, Melissa at The Little Frugal Homestead and I (The Farm Wife) have decided to sponsor this week’s Farm Fresh Tuesday Blog Hop 90 – and are giving away a copy of Melissa’s Homestead Journal and my own The Ultimate Guide to the Art of Homemaking!

What’s Been Happening with The Farm Wife

baking bread as a relationship - join the party

I have a few things I am passionate about, and baking bread is definitely at the top! The more I bake bread, the more I want to learn. The more I learn, the more I bake!

But with all of that baking, I had never really associated it with ‘having a relationship’. But a friend was asking me for help on a project she was working on in her kitchen, and without even thinking about it, I told her to treat the process the same as she would a relationship…

And then that proverbial lightbulb blinked on! Baking bread is very much like starting a new relationship, and following it through to see where it goes.

Visit with me for this 8-part series, and check out all the stages of Baking Bread as a Relationship. And be sure to ‘Join the Party’. You may just be introduced to a relationship that lasts a lifetime!

  2. Great blog hop and I enjoy baking bread although I don’t eat much bread anymore.

    1. Sue – I am so glad you are enjoying the hop! I’m with you – we do eat bread, but not as much as we want to. If you are ever in the bread baking mood,
just go ahead and bake – and then share the bounties with your neighbors!

  3. I love finding new homesteading blogs with these blog hops!

  7. I love the idea of baking bread as a relationship! I want to make mine a bit more steady, but right now its more of an on again off again relationship. Thanks for doing the giveaway!

    1. Stephanie – If it helps, I started with a ‘casual relationship. I set aside one day a month to bake. Either way, I hope you are able to
