Compact Farms – by: Josh Volk

I selected this book due to the layouts for the land. Then I discovered those layouts are actually part of different producing farming ventures, complete with charts that outline their harvest and distribution windows. First and foremost, Josh asks the question, “Why farm small?”, and then offers you his answer. Each farm profile offers you information on their farms, such as the size; customers and market; labor; tools and infrastructure; and other information on how their farm works. The information is invaluable, and I am so glad I purchased a book based on one aspect alone.
